Today, September 27, 2026, Bolton in northwest England is hosting the first edition of Bolton Brick Show, a new local LEGO fan event organized by Northern Brickworks.
The show runs from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Bolton Centre. Organizers list fan-built LEGO models, activities, competitions and traders among the attractions. It is a deliberately local event, but that is exactly what makes it interesting.
Northern Brickworks brings together adult LEGO fans across northern England and runs a calendar of exhibitions, group meetings and other community activities. Bolton Brick Show adds another place where builders can show MOCs, meet other fans and take the hobby beyond online groups and social media.
Regional brick shows serve a different purpose from the largest international AFOL gatherings. They are easier for families and newer fans to visit, and they give local builders a practical place to share work without travelling across the country or abroad.
Because this is the first Bolton Brick Show, it is too early to judge whether it will become an annual fixture. But its debut is another reminder that much of LEGO fan culture is built through small, local events rather than only through the biggest conventions.
