LEGO House Names Three Anniversary Challenge Winners as 75 Fan Builds Head to Billund

LEGO House in Billund turns 10 in 2027, and LEGO Ideas has now named the three Grand Prize winners of the anniversary challenge created to mark the milestone.

The winning builds are The Ultimate Celebration – Unboxing Memories by ThirdFoundation, Bonfire Party Dress by Eeerooo, and The Cake Crashers by Ianhou_tw. Each project won in a different category, reflecting the intentionally broad brief of the challenge.

Three winners, three very different takes on celebration

The Ultimate Celebration – Unboxing Memories won The Perfect Celebration Gift category. Its concept is rooted in LEGO history, bringing together references to classic themes including Castle, Pirates, Space and City. The creator has described the build as a bridge between the past and the present, using the LEGO House anniversary as a reason to revisit shared memories around the brick.

Bonfire Party Dress took the Dress to Impress category. Rather than a conventional display model, it is a brick-built outfit dominated by orange and reddish-orange elements. Creator Eero Okkonen has explained that the shape of the dress developed from specific curved elements and flexible tubing, giving the model its flowing, wind-swept silhouette.

The Cake Crashers won Home of the Ultimate Celebration. The scene takes a more character-driven and humorous approach, featuring two formally dressed animal guests at a LEGO House anniversary celebration and turning the party itself into the focus of the build.

The exhibition is larger than the winner list

The most significant part of the challenge is that the exhibition will not be limited to the three Grand Prize winners. A total of 75 finalist builds — 25 from each category — are planned for display at LEGO House during the 2027 anniversary period.

That gives the project a different character from the standard LEGO Ideas review process. These builds are not being presented as potential retail sets. Instead, the core outcome is a physical exhibition of fan creativity at LEGO House itself.

When the challenge launched in May 2026, LEGO Ideas outlined three themes: an anniversary-worthy outfit, the perfect celebration gift, and a model representing the home of the ultimate celebration. After the building phase, selected entries moved to a fan vote before the final winners were announced.

A global fan showcase in Billund

For international fans, the appeal goes beyond the prize packages. LEGO House is one of the most prominent physical destinations in the LEGO fan community, and having 75 community-created models displayed there turns the anniversary challenge into a broad showcase rather than a simple winner-takes-all competition.

The creator of Unboxing Memories has already confirmed that the model is expected to be displayed in Billund in 2027. That reinforces the point: the three Grand Prize winners headline the result, but the long-term value of the challenge is the much wider exhibition built around the fan community.

Grand Prize winners are also set to receive a brick-built trophy, LEGO House tickets and a selection of sets connected with LEGO House and Billund. Finalists selected for the exhibition were also promised LEGO House tickets and a copy of 21037 LEGO House when the challenge was announced.
