LEGO has changed the way physical rewards are redeemed through the Insiders program. Instead of first exchanging points for a reward code and then entering that code at checkout, eligible physical rewards can now be added directly to the basket.
The more important change is the new limit: members can add up to three physical rewards to a single order. That should make the rewards system significantly easier to use for anyone saving points for multiple items.
Up to three physical rewards per order
LEGO’s current help documentation says eligible rewards can be selected and added to the basket directly. The same guidance states that up to three rewards can be included in one order.
That is a meaningful improvement over the old system, which often forced members to generate individual reward codes and place separate orders when they wanted more than one physical item. Brick Fanatics also reported the rollout on August 21, noting that the updated process is already live on LEGO.com.
Reward codes have not disappeared entirely
The new basket-based system does not replace every type of reward. LEGO still supports rewards that are delivered as promotional codes, and its help documentation states that only one reward code can be used per order.
Digital rewards, sweepstakes, tickets and event redemptions also remain separate from the new three-item physical reward limit.
What happens to previously generated codes?
The presence of the new system does not mean older reward codes suddenly become invalid. LEGO still maintains code redemption at checkout, so members who generated a reward code before the change should still be able to use it within the validity rules attached to that code.
LEGO’s help pages are not fully aligned yet
One wrinkle is that LEGO’s support documentation is not completely consistent. The current rewards guidance describes the new three-reward limit, while another help article still reflects the older workflow and advises users to place separate orders for multiple rewards.
The most likely explanation is that the older support page has not yet been updated everywhere. For members, the practical takeaway is that the current rewards page now explicitly supports adding up to three eligible physical rewards to one order.
Why this matters
This is a small systems change, but it fixes one of the more frustrating parts of LEGO Insiders. Redeeming several physical rewards should now require fewer separate checkouts, making it easier to spend saved points without creating multiple orders simply because of a technical limitation.
The exact rewards catalogue still varies by region, but the underlying change is relevant internationally: eligible physical rewards can now be handled more like normal basket items, while code-based and digital rewards continue to follow their own rules.
