Batman Arrives in LEGO Fortnite Odyssey for a Six-Week Knight Shift Event

Batman is now part of LEGO Fortnite Odyssey through the Knight Shift event, which launched on September 3, 2026. Epic is treating the crossover as a multi-stage update rather than a single weekend event, with content rolling out across six weeks.

Drop 1 runs through September 30

The first phase of Knight Shift runs from September 3 through September 30. During weeks 1 and 2, players can take on quests tied to Gotham-inspired locations and unlock new mobility and vehicle rewards, including the Batglider, Batman Grapnel and Batmobile.

Epic describes weeks 3 and 4 as catch-up weeks, giving players time to complete missed quests and rewards. The official announcement does not assign separate calendar dates to those two weeks, so it is safer to stick to the published Drop 1 window rather than infer a more detailed schedule.

Gotham-style locations are part of the island

Knight Shift adds areas inspired by Gotham City to the existing LEGO Fortnite Odyssey world. These locations are used for event quests and encounters, alongside new enemies and Batman-themed objectives.

The update also brings recognizable Batman tools into the mode. The Bat-Signal is part of the event’s visual identity, while the Batglider and Batman Grapnel give players new ways to move around the world.

The Batmobile is available in the first phase

The Batmobile is one of the headline rewards in Drop 1. Epic has also confirmed a second Batman vehicle, The Bat, but that is reserved for the later part of the event.

Drop 2 is scheduled for October 1 through October 15. Weeks 5 and 6 introduce the final set of quests, with The Bat and the ability to recruit Batman as a Villager among the later rewards.

Batman can become a Villager

One of the more unusual rewards in Knight Shift is the option to bring Batman into a player’s village. This is not an automatic unlock: Epic says players need to complete the required quest progression before Batman becomes recruitable.

A longer crossover than a typical cosmetic tie-in

Knight Shift shows how LEGO Fortnite Odyssey continues to use licensed characters as gameplay content rather than treating them only as cosmetic additions. Batman is tied to new locations, quests, traversal tools, vehicles and progression spread over several weeks.

For players, the key dates are straightforward: Drop 1 lasts until September 30, catch-up time is built into the first phase, and Drop 2 runs from October 1 through October 15. The final Batman rewards only become available during that second stage.
