LEGO has revealed three new seasonal sets for Christmas 2026, with announcements appearing across August 31 and September 1. All three are due to launch on October 1, and the lineup mixes a licensed movie character with two more traditional holiday display pieces.
The standout is 40865 Buddy the Elf, based on the 2003 Christmas film Elf. It is joined by 40874 Santa’s Holiday Countdown and 40875 Up-Scaled Mrs. Claus Minifigure.
40865 Buddy the Elf brings a surprise movie license
Set 40865 contains 713 pieces and recreates Buddy as a buildable display model. The base includes small references to the film, including a bottle of maple syrup and an Arctic puffin.
Confirmed pricing is $39.99 / €39.99 / £34.99, with release set for October 1, 2026.
40874 Santa’s Holiday Countdown adds a working seasonal feature
40874 Santa’s Holiday Countdown contains 873 pieces and is designed as both a display model and a Christmas countdown decoration.
The set includes a simple mechanical countdown system operated from the chimney, giving it a practical seasonal function beyond static display.
It is priced at $59.99 / €59.99 / £54.99 and launches on October 1.
40875 Up-Scaled Mrs. Claus Minifigure expands the oversized character line
The third set, 40875 Up-Scaled Mrs. Claus Minifigure, contains 904 pieces. It follows the same large-scale minifigure concept as 40820 Up-Scaled Santa Minifigure, released in 2025.
The model includes a posable head, arms and hands and is positioned as a companion piece to the earlier Santa build.
Pricing is $59.99 / €59.99 / £54.99, with an October 1, 2026 release date.
Three very different takes on LEGO Christmas décor
| Set | Pieces | Confirmed price | Release |
|---|---|---|---|
| 40865 Buddy the Elf | 713 | $39.99 / €39.99 / £34.99 | October 1, 2026 |
| 40874 Santa’s Holiday Countdown | 873 | $59.99 / €59.99 / £54.99 | October 1, 2026 |

Together, the three sets cover three distinct audiences. Buddy the Elf leans on a recognizable movie license, Santa’s Holiday Countdown adds a functional seasonal feature, and Mrs. Claus extends an existing collectible display format.
With all three arriving on October 1, LEGO is once again positioning its Christmas range well ahead of December, giving seasonal builders and collectors a full two months to pick up the new releases before the holiday period peaks.
