The next LEGO Build a Minifigure refresh is expected to arrive in October 2026 with seven suggested characters and a notably varied mix of parts. Rather than centering on one seasonal theme, the selection spans historical, fantasy, costume and everyday character ideas.
Seven suggested characters for October
According to Brick Fanatics, the October lineup includes a 17th Century Sword Fighter, Tooth Fairy, Surfer Pirate, Robot Costume Girl, Hip Hop Fan, Caveman and a Kid with Rocking Horse.
The new selection is expected to reach Build a Minifigure stations from October 1, 2026. As with other BAM refreshes, shoppers are not limited to recreating the suggested characters exactly. Heads, torsos, legs and accessories can be combined in different ways depending on what is available at a particular store.
The parts may matter more than the finished characters
For collectors and MOC builders, the standout feature of this wave may be the individual components. The revealed selection includes distinctive printed torsos and themed accessories, including historical clothing, pirate-inspired elements, a robot costume torso and caveman parts.
That is one of the main reasons Build a Minifigure remains useful beyond casual character building. A single torso, headgear piece or accessory can be more valuable to a custom builder than the complete suggested figure it originally belongs to.
Build a Minifigure is not the same as Collectible Minifigures
BAM should not be confused with the blind-boxed Collectible Minifigures series. Build a Minifigure is a LEGO Store activity where shoppers assemble characters from parts placed in dedicated bins or stations.
That also means availability is inherently local. A particular element may sell through faster in one store than another, and different locations may not have identical stock at the same time.
What to watch for on October 1
Anyone interested in one specific print or accessory should treat October 1 as the expected start of the refresh rather than a guarantee that every LEGO Store will carry every component throughout the month.
The October 2026 selection may not have one obvious headline character, but its variety makes it especially interesting for builders who use BAM as a source of custom minifigure parts.
